Kruger Park, Lion King Safari
Arrival Johannesburg International transfer per bus to the Eastern- Highlands in Mpumalanga, staying in country lodge half way to Kruger National Park. Fly-fishing and hiking is available at the lodge. Dinner, bed & breakfast at Highland Estate near Dullstroom. Drinks extra.
Day 2
After breakfast depart via Lydenburg, Ohrigstadt, Blyde River Canyon into central Kruger National Park. Visit to the Elephant Museum and game drive in the afternoon in this unique (20 000 square kilometre) wildlife paradise. Overnight in rest camp, with traditional dinner from the campfire.
Early morning game drive to the next camp and a short game walk (1,5hours) into the pristine African bush. Leave Kruger Park for private game lodge, bordering the Park. First afternoon game drive in open Landrover, away from mainstream tourism.Exploring the bush and tracking down Rhinos and other game. Sundowner in the bush, as well as stargazing and a night drive with a spotlight, searching for the nocturnal wildlife (and hopefully leopards). Dinner under the stars with traditional south African cuisine and wine from the Cape. Midday siesta at camp, -2 game drives per day. 2 nights in private lodge, full board, alcoholic beverages incl.
Day 5
Early morning game drive optional. After breakfast you can either fly back to Johannesburg from Phalaborwa or Hoedspruit (1 hr)to JHB or Cape Town, or drive back via Lydenburg, Dullstroom (5 hrs). Transfer to your hotel at Johannesburg, or JHB International Airport at 17h00 PM for connecting flight.
Additional night in fine B & B in close proximity to Airport.
