Swazi to Zululand Adventure |

Day 1: We depart from Johannesburg via the Kingdom of Swaziland. Swaziland is one of the few remaining true Monarchies of the world and King Mswati III still holds all political power. Once we are in Swaziland the scenery is spectacular and travelling is slow because the road is windy and terrain mountainous. | ||||||

We will stop at a large roadside craft market for an opportunity to browse, buy and watch crafters at work. Our route goes via the capital, Mbabane, and then into the mountainous countryside where our country hotel is set in an extensive forest.

Meals: B & D Day 2: After a fine contry breakfast we leave the Mountain Kingdom for Zululand to Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Park through the sugar bowl of South Africa. On entering the park we start game viewing stopping for a picnic lunch on route and arriving at our overnight accommodation in the late afternoon. Day 3: Early morning game drive stopping for a bush breakfast and continuing on our game drive. At this point there is an optional boat trip on Hluhluwe River or we can continue game viewing. We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue game view on our way back to camp returning to camp for a night drive followed by dinner. Day 4: After breakfast we take a game drive on our way out of the park to the nearby tribal area for a Zulu cultural excursion. On arrival we will be met by the headman and his family. We will take a guided tour of the Musi with and explanations about the various units i.e. Kitchen, beer making hut, sleeping rooms, traditional healing hut, cattle kraal, grain storage. We will also have a chance to see how oxen are used to plow the fields as well as a demonstration of the work of a Sangoma (spiritualist) and Nyanga of traditional healing methods. After leaving the village we return to the park for a picnic lunch and continue our game drive arriving back in camp in the late afternoon. Day 5: After a early morning game drive we return to camp for breakfast, pack up and depart for the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park for a 2 ½ hour launch tour up the estuary. Lunch in St. Lucia before heading back to Durban / drop of at your Hotel or at Durban Int. Airport for your connecting flight. Prices: Prices available on request. Minimum 3-4 Clients Included:
