......like Karen Blixen, Jörn Seidler fell in love with Africa.....It all began as a youngster in Northern Germany, where Jörn was born in 1965. At an early age he was fanatical about wildlife programmes and books, he was horse-riding at the age of 6 years and obtained his German Hunting & Falconry Licence at 16. He was involved in several Nature conservation projects in Germany. Upon leaving school he studied agriculture, and worked for a while as a farm manager in Namibia, and travelled all over Southern Africa. On his return to Germany Jörn performed his military service and later, an apprenticeship in a bank, after which he worked for two years for a Swedish company and also a short period in New York.

Soon the call of Africa drew him back and with suitcase in hand and a work permit in his pocket, Jörn once again returned to Southern Africa. The commercial world and the work that it entailed he found unfulfilling and he made several excursions into the Southern African Wilderness whenever the opportunity arose.

In the Krüger National Park Jörn undertook the Ranger Training Courses, his PH Licence, Satour Guide Licence, etc, and became involved as an honorary Ranger in nature conservation.

Today as a specialised safari operator, Jörn Seidler is privileged to be associated with a number of Africa's most respected scientists, wildlife researchers, vets, pilots, expedition leaders and artists to make your African experience unique and unforgettable
